6 Interval Identification Exercises: Identify the following intervals by size and quality (ex. major 3rd) after the two notes have been played consecutively (melodic intervals).
Above a given note: any interval within a major 9th
Below a given note: any interval within an octave
1 Chord Identification Exercise: Identify by chord symbols (I,V,VI, etc) the chords used in a four measure phrase in a major key. Starting on the tonic, it may include chords on the I, II, IV, V, VI degrees of the scale and may include a cadential six-four and dominant 7th chord.
2 Melody Playback Exercises of the BOTH voices of a two-part phrase in a major key.

Meter Identification
A four measure passage is played once.
Identify the time signature in the space that follows then check your answer with the book.
Interval Identification
Two notes are played consecutively (melodic intervals) once
Identify the interval by size and quality (Major 3rd) in the space that follows then check your answer with the book.
Chord Identification
The tonic chord is played once and a four bar phrase will be played once at a slow pace and then during the second playing the music will stop after after each chord.
In the space following each chord name the chord and then check your answer with the book.
Melody Playback
The tonic chord is played once and the two part-Melody Playback melody is played twice.
Play back BOTH voices from memory, then check your answer with the book.
